13. Connecting to other tools

Projects created in Pidoco can easily be embedded into wikis, office documents or blogs using permalinks (see Step 8 - Sharing projects). You can also use projects in certain partner applications, such as the web-based project management system Planio, via the Pidoco API. Using Planio new issues can be easily derived from discussions and managed in a central place. Screenshots can also be included into the Planio wiki with a link to the project in preview.

To do this, you must first connect Pidoco and Planio. Click the "GET LINK" button in the Versions tab. In the dialog that opens, click on the "Or use this prototype in an external application" link at the bottom.

On the page that opens, click on the "Add to plan.io" button . You will be taken to Planio, where you can choose a Planio project to add your project to. Remember to create a project tracker under "Administration" and then "Trackers". To create a new issue click on the "New Issue" tab. You can embed an image of a page in your project or create a new issue from discussions that come with a project. This is done by clicking on the Pidoco tab to view all discussions, followed by a click on "Create a new issue from this discussion".

Congratulations, you've made it through our step-by-step tutorial. Now you are truly a Pidoco expert. If you still have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Now, enjoy prototyping!
