Export dialog

Pidoco allows you to download a project by exporting them into various file formats:

  • HTML: This option generates a zip file containing all the HTML pages of your project in the various preview modes, interlinked and ready to click through - basically a fully functional offline copy of your project as it would appear in the preview. Use this option to save backup copies of the working prototype, e.g. for presentations or usability tests.
  • SVG: This option generates a zip file containing vector images of all the pages of your project in SVG format. Use this option if you need screenshots that scale without loss of quality.
  • RTF/PDF: This option generates a complete document that includes screenshots of the pages of your project, as well as further information, such as comments, meta information on interactions and stencils, layers and cross-references between layers and pages. You can choose which sections to include. Use the PDF version for documenting your project, e.g. for client or management sign-off or to hand over to the developers as requirements document. Use the RTF version if you expect to make edits or add information to the document.
  • PNG: This option generates a zip file containing screenshots of all the pages of your project in PNG format. Use this option if you want to save or print out screens or if you want to use the screens in other places.

Options

The export dialog offers some additional options:

  • select pages: The selcted pages will be included in the export.
  • select sections: The selected sections will be included in the export. A page-layer reference displays all used layers for each page, a layer-page reference displays all pages for each layer.
