Access Rights

Pidoco is ideally suited for collaborating with other people. To do so you can share prototypes, i.e. grant access rights, via the "Share" button in the Toolbar. Pidoco offers different levels of access rights inlcuding: "View", "Review", "Edit", "Read / write", "Read only" and "Test".

Types of Access Rights

  • The "View" right allows invitees to see and click through the prototype in the Simulation View.
  • The "Review" right allows invitees to see and click through the prototype, create new discussions and add or respond to discussion entries.
  • The "Test" right allows invitees to see and click through the prototype and participate in usability tests as a test user.
  • The "Edit" right is the highest access right and allows the invitee full access to the prototype including the changing, viewing, reviewing, test moderation or granting of access rights.
    • The "Read / write access" right allows invitees full access to the prototype including the changing, viewing, reviewing, test moderation or granting of access rights. This can be granted in Classic and Expert plans.
    • The "Read only" right allows invitees to see and click through the prototype and conduct usability tests as a moderator. The user can also make comments in the prototype and see other comments. The user cannot edit the prototype, but may copy the prototype in its current state or past state to edit. This will not have an effect on the original prototype. The user needs a Pidoco account in order to be granted these access rights. These rights can be granted by Expert and Enterprise users.

Granting Access Rights

Granting access rights is done by sending invitation emails (invitations) containing a link to the prototype. To grant access select the desired option from the "Share" button in the Toolbar. Alternatively, use the respective tabs in My Prototypes to send invitations.
